Hunters Quay: A Journey
Scotland...
The Love We All Share.

Once in Dunoon, one can immediately appreciate the mixed heritage. Dunoon is easily accessible by car or walking, and is well sign-posted. A revamped, pedestrian-friendly town centre including an attractive look for the Argyll Gardens greet visitors as they come off the ferry, giving a friendly first impression.
Dunoon has both a responsibility and a privilege in being the natural gateway to the rest of the Cowal Peninsula, and to the many attractions which it has to offer.
Every summer, huge numbers of holiday makers make their way to Dunoon. The holiday will have a special start since you will be coming to Dunoon by ferry. If you decide to travel by road or drive to Dunoon, it’s the exiting long way round by road past Loch Lomond. (you will definitely need your camera with you).

Kyles of Bute. Breathtaking beauty; a kaleidoscope of colour.
One of the reasons why Scotland is talked about across the world is for the scenery it offers to both its inhabitants and its visitors.
Its landscapes and off course the hospitality of its people are why Scotland ’s tourism industry thrives.

A subtly and beautifully sited church in red rock-faced sandstone Romanesque. This may well be the finest piece of architecture on the whole Cowal shore. Kirn Brae climbs uphill from the church in a tenemented curve, crosses Hunter Street and continues east as Ardenslate Road.
Kirn Parish Church was opened on 25th September 1907.
50 years before in 1859, two churches were opened in the green fields above the cliffs in Kirn. One was St. Andrews, under the authority of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, the other St. Margaret’s, a united Presbyterian church.
